The Nursery

A brief history of Franklin's room -

A month or so before Franklin was born, I started getting his room ready. I thought cleaning the walls, priming and painting would be fine, but quickly realized there was some water damage in the corner.

A few weeks and one new roof later, I cut out drywall and replaced the damaged wood.

Drywall, plaster and lots of sanding:

I was painting the night of February 8th when there was a slight interruption.


With some helpers to finish the painting, Franklin was soon able to sleep in his crib. The decorating took a few more weeks. The valence, shade, diaper stacker were made by Franklin's Great Aunt Debbie:
